James graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Sport Science & Maths. Alongside his academic course James competed for club & county at 800m and continued his passion for performance training into his Strength and Conditioning career.
James spent 8 years working at Pure Sports Medicine in London, where he developed extensive experience in managing complex knee injuries and ACL rehabilitation. During this time, he worked closely with Andrew, and together they built a strong focus and shared passion for ACL rehab over the last 10 years.
He has since established his own practice in Central London, specialising in end-stage rehabilitation — helping clients bridge the gap between early recovery and a confident return to high-level activity and sport.
James works with a wide range of patients, from recreational athletes managing injuries conservatively to complex multi-ligament cases, with a clear focus on restoring performance, confidence, and long-term knee health.
He has developed a sophisticated testing process — the Knee Performance Profiling Session — designed to assess, analyse, and profile each individual, providing clear direction and objective markers for progression back to full performance.
Alongside his clinical work, James has contributed to published research with Andrew, investigating outcomes in ACL injury rehabilitation.

Andrew is a specialist physiotherapist with 15 years experience. He has a special interest in ACL injuries and has focussed his attention on this and more broadly speaking knee injuries for the last 10 years.
Andrew has a broad experience spanning the NHS, elite sport and private practice. He has led clinical teams made up of the full MDT and mentored clinicians alongside his clinical practice.
He has been teaching ACL management 1-1 and to wider groups for the last 5 years. This has included speaking at conferences, expos, hosting webinars with industry leading companies such as Ossur and travelling internationally to teach ‘The complete ACL rehab course’ with James. Andrew has been lucky enough to be a co-author of a research paper on predicting outcomes post ACL surgery. He was recently asked to contribute to a book soon to be released on his thoughts around rehabilitation for patella and quadriceps grafts and how to avoid common pitfalls.
Andrew rehabilitates ~ 75 ACL patients a year with a mix of elite to recreational athletes. These include conservatively managed isolated ACL injuries to patients who have suffered complex multi-ligament injuries and had reconstruction surgery. Andrew believes firmly in criteria led rehabilitation, testing protocols for physical and psychological components of the patient journey and strategic goal setting throughout to achieve optimal results. Not only has Andrew worked with elite athletes but general population and your weekend warriors too.
With regard to complex knee injury management Andrew believes that getting the foundations right and working with the right team around the athlete are essential. This is in essence how Andrew and James’s partnership began and part of the reason it continues to flourish
